A big “thankyou!” to all concerned for making the RocknRollSoul Summer Special on Saturday night such a great success! We hope everybody who attended enjoyed the music and the great atmosphere 🙂
Many thanks to Gary, Nat, Jimmy and Martin for coming over and bringing the club night to the Island; it was great to see the music go down so well with the crowd and great to know that the DJs thoroughly enjoyed the night and really want to come back and do another one, so watch this space!
Many thanks also to Gid@SwitchedOn and Hazel@Black&Blue for distributing the tickets and helping to sell out, and cheers to all the other people (you know who you are) who helped out in any way at all with the weekend’s arrangements.

I don’t know. You get the Guardian to see what’s happening of a mid-summer’s-evening, only to find that there’s f*ck all on in Bristol – but some amazing club night in Laxey. The world’s gone mad.

Some photos will be ready shortly (as I’ve just got my new filmscanner, a fabulous Minolta Dimage Pro 5400), but you’ll have to wait ’til next week for the Delta 3200 images (very fast black & white film, no flash).

Had a mad dream the other night that I was at this ace club night. The music was a mixed-up stew of funk, soul and rock and roll so good it felt like the DJ Genie was granting all your music wishes in one go. Everyone was dancing up a delirious sweat and looked so damn happy, it wasn’t like the Rock anymore. Except that’s the twist – it was in Laxey Glen Gardens of all places…As if? Whatever you do – bring it back!
