Just heard from Derrero that they have finally split up, sad news. Still, they leave behind a fine legacy of music and memories. Andy and Dave from the band are now playing in a band called Cymbient, Sion (the stand in guitarist from ‘Murry the Hump’ who played the gig over here) is now playing in a band called ‘The Keys’ and Mary is doing some singing for her partner Martin Carr’s (ex Boo Radleys songwriter) band ‘Brave Captain’, so good to see they are all still playing, definitely means that (for me at least) ‘Comb the Breaks’ becomes one of the great ‘lost albums’.

A real shame that. A truly great band that never received the full praise that they deserved. Let’s hope the new bands are as good!
Oh, I’m in Cymbient too (just to prove how bored a person can be in work). Derrero were a fine band though, and also the first band I saw (which makes me now playing with them both exciting and surreal).
