The Scope play their debut live gig this Thursday 3rd March at The Cornerhouse in Douglas.
Sure to be a great night, we’re dead excited about hearing the band live, as are lots of people. DJ sounds before and after will be provided by the one and only DreamFish.
Don’t miss this gig, it’ll be a blinder 🙂
In case you haven’t heard them yet, they put a track on the Black Label compilation BGK01:- Scope – Chicken Lipz

Happy New Year from all at Ballagroove
Hi everyone, hope your Xmas and New Year was as fun as ours!
Highlight had to be the Tholtan Builders gig down at the Bay Port St Mary, talk about busy!!! The band were wonderful as ever and a great night was had by all.
Low point of course was the Tsunami 🙁 We’ve put up a download of one of Rhysical Pheck’s tracks entitled Kanyakumari (from the The Little People Album), the track is written about the place of the same name which is at the Southern tip of India which has been visited in the past by Gypo and Kin from the band, sadly hundreds of people were killed at this deeply spiritual place, just one of the many, many tragedies, if you download the track and you like it then please make a donation the next time you see a collection box, a drop in the ocean but every little helps.
New Year should see a scutch of new releases including the debut album from ‘ingie which we’re all dead excited about as its sounding great, also maybe this year Rhysical Pheck and Cocahiba will finally get round to releasing their new albums :-), and expect the second Black Label compilation soon(ish)!
Finally, a quick plug for our chums over at Rotten Planet who have just released a classy 12″ single including tracks by Asthmatic Kid and Scope, which can be bought from the Rotten Planet Website. You can preview the tracks on the site, too, cool stuff indeed!
Best wishes to all for a peaceful and music filled New Year, Blein Vie Noa!!
Boing Boing Firefox Search Plug-in
After seeing this over at Engadget it got me interested as to how easy writing a search plug-in for Firefox (the best web-browser of late) would be. It’s Sunday, I’m feeling a bit weak and lacking in design creativity after last night’s pub crawl, I’ve got about as far I’m going to on my Ballagroove website tasks so I thought I’d take a break and look at some source, then wander over to the official home of these things. It’s not really worth knocking something up a dedicated browser plug-in for Ballagroove, but it would be for what’s become my favourite site of late: Boing Boing, which is the website equivalent of Rhysical Pheck artists Gypo & Jo’s house (amazingly cool, in other words). A few cups of tea and a couple of slices of my gran’s gingercake (which is awesome) later:

If you’re interested in taking a look at its source, open the following up in your favourite text editor:

Currently listening to the Rough Trade Counter Cuture 2002 compilation and the Journeyman is right: Willis‘s “Take You High” is beautiful! I need to buy their album. Still feel a bit weak, better get some more tea & cake! 🙂
