The Villiers Square in Douglas (New Town Square behind Switched On Records) is hosting a ‘Drum Circle’ on Saturday 26th July at 2pm. Organised by ‘The Funky Drummer’ Mike Kewley, the idea is to get as many drummers down as possible (all types of drums and percussion welcome) and play the afternoon away. Instructions will be given for beginners.
Any one who saw Mike drumming along to Gid’s breakbeats last weekend at the opening of the square will know to expect some quality beats 🙂
Free (no charge) for all concerned, drummers or spectators.
For more information please contact Douglas Development Corporation or e-mail faceshake@wottmail.com.
P.S. Just the ticket for ‘limbering up’ before the Rock’n’RollSoul event in Laxey later that day!

Rhysical Pheck & Cohiba Live in Douglas
July 8th @ The Office, Douglas
8P.M. ’til late
Rhysical Pheck and Cohiba will both be playing live, with music throughout the night provided by Ballagroove DJ’s. I think it’s free to get in but I’ll check and post an update here.
This is Rhysical Pheck’s first gig in Douglas, not bad for a band that’s been together 5 years!
