The Fix – New Indie / Rock Night

The Fix
Fionn and Ed have a new night on down at the Havana club in Douglas each and every Thursday night.
Described by them as ‘A Musical Road Trip Down Rock Highway Appreciating the Following Beauty Spots’, followed by a list of fine bands including MC5, The Jam, New Order, The Clash, Primal Scream, Undertones, James Brown, Iggy Pop, Cypress Hill, Artic Monkeys, Stone Roses, Q.O.T.S.A, Beck, Public Enemy, White Stripes ….. sure you get the idea ! – quality stuff indeed, Fionn and Ed have both DJ’d at Ballagroove parties in the past so if you’ve heard them you know what to expect !!
I think its on till about 1am, if anybody knows for sure let us know
Door tax is a couple of quid
PS As some of you may know Fionn is away at the moment, I was speaking to him last night and its all going well, he’s well on the road to recovery :-), hopefully he might be posting something up here soon.

Rhysical Pheck on MySpace

We’ve joined the ever expanding alternative world that is MySpace. There are a few songs to download / listen to that aren’t on this website, have a look at Rhysical Pheck at MySpace.

For anybody who isn’t familiar with MySpace, it’s pretty cool: all you have to do is register and then you can build your own homepage where you can add songs, have a blog, advertise gigs, etc.

One of other things that I like is you can link to friends, this is great cause it makes it really easy to keep in touch with what other bands you know are up to, you just invite people (or be invited) to become someone’s friend and then they appear in your list.

Another cool thing is when you find a band you like, if you look at their friends you can find other similar bands and listen to their music, not unlike links pages on bands’ websites but it’s just a whole lot easier to navigate your way round as most bands pages are in the same format. Great way to hear loads of new music 🙂

Feel free to join our friends list if you are already converted to MySpace!
