Chasfest / ‘ingie Album Launch

Chasfest 2006 flyer'ingie logo

Hey!

Well we’ve just about recovered from Wickerman and now it’s time for Chasfest!

Is there no end to it all? 🙂

Anyway… Chasfest. I’ve included Chas’s note in its entirety below which has all the important bits in it.

Ballagroove-wise — not two words that sit well together 🙂 — we’re very excited as it’s the launch for ‘ingie‘s album noughtp01intone. He and his band are playing live at Chasfest and the album will be available for sale on the night. They’ll be playing a smattering of songs from the album before launching into some full-on live PsyTrance to round off the proceedings, then we (Gypo & Toots) will be following up with DJ sounds from midnight(ish) till we run out of whisky and go to bed! Expect a lot of Reggae, Ska, Funk, Soul, i.e. usual mix of stuff to hopefully get you jumpin’.

See below about buying t-shirts to support this FREE event, make sure you drop a donation in the buckets that’ll be going round and treat the farmland with respect 🙂

Anyway, looking forward to seeing y’all on Saturday!

Biddly Biddly Bing Bing — still got Eek-a-Mouse going round my head from Wickerman!

Here’s Chas’s Note:

“It’s ChasFest time again!

Well it’s an early one this year… and that has caused a couple of unforseen problems but not to worry. The main thing is we are in a different field to usual. One field nearer the Sulby Glen Hotel to be precise. If anyone went to Beltane this year then that is the spot. In a lot of ways it is a better site.

Usual rules about dogs i.e. no dogs but the new rule is no fires…. not as bad as it sounds ‘cos you are welcome to use barbies or chimineas to get the essential glow ’round your tent, the main thing is no fires on the ground. There will be the usual big central bonfire naturally.

Again please park your car in Quilly’s top field (Tholt y Will side of my house) like last year. Fine to drop your camping kit down with your motor but please put it up in the car-park straight away. Gives us more room to party! (and means I’m less likely to get run-over if I end up lying face down in the grass). It is only a very short walk back down to the site.

This years line-up is simply the best yet! As it stands at this moment (you have to understand it’s like herding cats) band wise we have:-

The Nine Bar Gypsies

Slick-Dog

Little Bitta Rosie

A top UK mystery combo who I would love to tell you about but can’t

Cold Zero

‘Ingie with Xtalk

Then Ballagroove DJ’s Gyp and Toots will take control of your journey into tomorrow.

Best to get down early because to fit it all in we will be kicking the bands off at six-ish.

Chasfest T-shirts!

To try and recoup some or the set-up costs, for the first time ever I will be selling a strictly limited edition ChasFest T shirt, for a very reasonable £10. All sizes from sexy babe to fat old bloke.

Quality fruit of the Loom screen-printed jobbies, none of your rubbish iron-on tat. (Without doubt dusters of the future).

Can’t wait.

Chas.”
